Music Frozen Dancing returns Saturday, February 22nd! Our beloved annual winter block party takes place right outside Empty Bottle on Cortez from 1pm until darkness falls. Epic, frigid fun. Quintessentially Chicago. One of our favorite days of the year.
This year’s lineup is as sick as they come. We’ll have THE EGYPTIAN LOVER, an LA legend who has been making the people dance and wiggle for over 40 years. Hardcore rippers BIB and DOUBLE OVER will turn shit all the way up and get the blood boiling. And we mustn't forget the razor sharp, fast as hell punk rock of LANDOWNER and Chicago’s own post-punk no wavers CLICKBAIT. It’s a goddamn party.
If you get a lil chilly, you can head inside, grab a drink and spend some time with the RENT CONTROL and SIGNAL RECORDS DJs keeping it spicy indoors on the decks.
As always, the block party is free to attend and we’ll be accepting donations at the gate with proceeds going towards Mutual Aid LA Network to benefit those in Los Angeles impacted by the ongoing wildfires. More information is available at https://mutualaidla.org/.

Defying winter since 2014, Music Frozen Dancing wouldn't be possible without thousands of restless Chicagoans, a handful of incredible bands, forgiving neighbors, and countless crew members each year. Endless thanks to Goose Island Beer Co for taking a "Wouldn't it be funny..." this far and to everyone who complained the years it's been too warm.
